Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully before using the Prime Costa Rentals website or booking any vehicle with us. By accessing our website, making a reservation, or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.


1. Company Information

Prime Costa Rentals provides vehicle rental services in Spain. We manage reservations, handle communication with customers, prepare vehicles, and provide support throughout the rental period.


2. Booking a Vehicle

To book a vehicle, you must:

  • Provide accurate and complete personal information
  • Provide a valid passport or ID
  • Provide a valid driver’s licence (held for at least 1 year)
  • Agree to the rental price, deposit, and conditions
  • Pay any required fees or deposits
  • Accept these Terms of Service

A booking is confirmed when you receive a written confirmation from us.

We reserve the right to decline a reservation if documentation is incomplete or requirements are not met.


3. Driver Requirements

  • Minimum age: 18 years
  • Valid Category B driver’s licence held for at least 1 year
  • Additional drivers must be registered with us before the rental

We may request additional verification or refuse service in cases of safety concerns, invalid documentation, or suspected misuse.


4. Payments and Deposits

  • All prices include applicable taxes
  • Payment methods accepted: card, cash, bank transfer, and approved cryptocurrencies
  • A refundable security deposit is required before taking the vehicle
  • Deposits are returned within 24 hours after the vehicle is inspected and approved
  • Deductions may apply for late returns, damage, missing fuel, fines, or other costs described in our policies

5. Insurance Coverage

All rental vehicles include:

  • Third-party liability insurance
  • Theft protection
  • Fire protection

Damage caused by accidents, misuse, or negligence may be deducted from the security deposit. Full insurance details are available upon request.


6. Vehicle Use and Responsibilities

By renting a vehicle, you agree to:

  • Drive responsibly and follow all Spanish traffic laws
  • Avoid off-road driving, racing, drifting, and unsafe behavior
  • Return the vehicle on time, to the agreed location
  • Return it in the same condition as received (normal wear permitted)
  • Report any damage, accident, theft, or mechanical issue immediately

You are responsible for:

  • Tolls
  • Parking fees
  • Traffic violations
  • Fuel costs
  • Any fines or charges incurred during the rental

If we must process a fine on your behalf, an administrative fee may apply.


7. Delivery and Pick-Up

  • Delivery is free for rentals of 5 days or longer
  • Delivery fees may apply for short rentals or distant locations
  • The vehicle must be returned at the agreed location and time
  • Late returns may incur additional charges

Examples of late return charges:

  • Over 30 minutes late: additional fee
  • Significantly late: charged as an extra rental day

Exact amounts depend on the rental agreement.


8. Vehicle Monitoring and Telematics

Some vehicles may include GPS or telematics systems that collect information such as:

  • Location
  • Speed alerts
  • Fuel level
  • Tire pressure
  • Diagnostic data

This information is used for safety, fleet management, and theft prevention.
By renting a vehicle, you consent to this use.

We do not access personal data stored on the infotainment system. If you pair your device with the vehicle, disconnect it before returning the car.


9. Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellations and refunds follow our Refund Policy.
The key rules include:

  • Free cancellation 48+ hours before pickup
  • Partial refund (20% fee) for cancellations 24–48 hours before pickup
  • No refund for cancellations under 24 hours or for no-shows
  • Unused rental days are not refundable unless authorized
  • Deposits are refundable within 24 hours of the vehicle’s return, subject to inspection

10. Prohibited Use

You may not:

  • Use the vehicle for illegal activities
  • Sub-rent or transfer the vehicle to another party
  • Transport dangerous goods
  • Drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs
  • Tamper with the vehicle, odometer, or telematics systems
  • Misuse the vehicle in a way that causes harm or risk

Violation of these rules may result in immediate termination of the rental without refund.


11. Force Majeure

We are not responsible for delays or failure to provide services due to events beyond our control, including natural disasters, strikes, illness, electrical outages, or government restrictions.


12. Disputes and Governing Law

These Terms are governed by Spanish law.
Any dispute will be handled by the courts of Spain.
